TactiTrace has been designed to hold an Apple AirTag and mount directly to a picatinny rifle rail. It will allow you to track the location of your rifles whether it is at home or you are out on the range. It has been designed in such a way to be inconspicuous so that if your rifle is stolen that hopefully a common criminal will not think that it has a tracking device on it. TactiTrace is 3D printed with tight tolerances and has metal inserts heat welded into the body to secure it together and to your rifle.
TactiTrace has no knowledge of the location of your firearms as we are just a product to hold the Apple AirTag. Apple also does not trac the location of AirTags or even know what they are. According to their website "our location data and history are never stored on the AirTag itself. Devices that relay the location of your AirTag also stay anonymous, and that location data is encrypted every step of the way. So not even Apple knows the location of your AirTag or the identity of the device that helps find it." We suggest when setting up your AirTag that you name it "TactiTrace" or some other non-firearm related name, however you can name it whatever you like to identify it.
What's included: TactiTrace AirTag holder, 2x10mm screws, 2mm hex key.
The product is made of acrylic styrene acrylonitrile carbon fiber (ASA-CF) filament and the dimensions are approximately 2"x1.5"x.5" and weight with an Airtag installed is about 1 oz.
TactiTrace is compatible with any picatinny rails with tight tolerances. Note: due to weaver rails being slightly different dimensions they are not supported.
The product is designed to look discreate so that it doesn't raise suspecion.
